The agenda for the upcoming ADTC meeting on January 24th has been distributed to ADTC Members via the mailing list, by ADTC Secretary Sarah McKee. Besides the upcoming Massachusetts Presidential Primary on February 5th, there will also be a discussion regarding the upcoming caucus on Saturday, February 9th to elect delegates to the statewide convention.

  5. Discussion:  Presidential Primary Nomination Papers (H. Brooks)

  6. Motion by Peter Vickery:

    The Amherst Democratic Town Committee supports House Bill 3075; and be it further resolved that the Committee supports the revision of Article XLIV of the Massachusetts Constitution so as to permit the Legislature to establish a progressive income tax.

  7. Fourth of July (Independence Day parade): Last year the ADTC and the League of Women Voters  both decided not to participate.  "They felt that the parade committee, by not allowing everyone to march, violated the right to free speech" (Springfield Union). Does the ADTC wish to press the point?

    Mass. Presidential Primary -- Tuesday, Feb. 5;
    ADTC Caucus, all Amherst Dems registered as to end of 2007, to elect delegates to statewide convention -- Sat. Feb. 9, Crocker Farm School cafeteria; 10 a.m sharp!
